If your Residence Card is different from the one you entered when you applied for the JLPT, you must bring additional documents on the test day.

① If you have renewed your Residence Card (you already have a new card)
Please bring both of the following:
（１） Your new Residence Card
（２）One of the following:
　　• Your old Residence Card (with a hole punched in it)
　　• A copy of your old Residence Card
　　• A document showing that you renewed your Residence Card (such as a printed copy of your renewal application email)
Note: If you have not yet received your new Residence Card, please make a copy of your old Residence Card before you receive the new one.

② If your Residence Card is currently being renewed and you do not have the original card
Please bring all three of the following:
　　• A document showing that your Residence Card is being renewed (such as a document from the Immigration Services Agency or your administrative scrivener, or a printed copy of your renewal application email)
　　• A copy of your Residence Card, or the original Residence Card showing on the back that it is currently being renewed
　　• A government-issued photo ID (such as your passport, My Number Card, or driver’s license)

③If you have lost your Residence Card
Please bring all three of the following:
　　• A lost property report or another document showing the police report number
　　• A copy of your lost Residence Card, or your reissued Residence Card
　　• A government-issued photo ID (such as your passport, My Number Card, or driver’s license)

If you still have the same Residence Card that you used when you applied, simply bring that Residence Card with you on the test day.
Please note: If you do not bring the required documents, you may not be allowed to take the test. Please make sure to check your documents before the test day.
