Starting October 1, 2026, fees for residence procedures will change.
The fees for changing your status of residence or renewing your period of stay vary depending on the period of stay granted.

【When applying at a counter】
・3 months or less: ¥10,000
・More than 3 months to 6 months: ¥15,000
・More than 6 months to less than 1 year: ¥21,000
・1 year: ¥27,000
・More than 1 year to less than 3 years: ¥42,000
・3 years to less than 5 years: ¥56,000
・5 years or more: ¥65,000
※ When applying at a counter, the fee must be paid with a revenue stamp.

【When applying online】
In addition to the fees listed above, a payment processing fee (¥330 or ¥550) is required.
If you are planning to renew your period of stay or change your status of residence, please be aware of the changes to the fees.
