Hello everyone, 

The Immigration Services Agency of Japan has issued an important reminder: Do not use photos that have been edited with apps when applying for or renewing your residence status. 

Submitting an altered photo for your residence card may prevent proper identity verification and could raise suspicions of document forgery. 

Please make sure to follow the official photo requirements carefully!
