The year-end tax adjustment is part of Japan’s tax system.
It is used to adjust the amount of income tax you paid during the year — if you paid too much or too little in taxes through your part-time job. The procedure for submitting the year-end adjustment form differs depending on your workplace, so be sure to check carefully with your employer.
